Dear Friends,
Welcome to a new year of wonderful opportunities for adult faith formation at the Church of the Transfiguration.
This year we welcome the Third Edition of the Roman Missal to be implemented at our community worship the first Sunday of Advent. Fr. Robert Kennedy and Ms. Joan Workmaster will help us appreciate the gift and challenges of our liturgical life together.
This year our formation focus is on Elder Spirituality. Whether you are an elder, are caring for an elder, or will someday be an elder, our various fall and spring series will help you celebrate and navigate the challenges of “elder life and spirituality.” Transfiguration welcomes Mr. Patrick Fox, PCSG, MS, BS, Dr. Patricia Bomba, MD, FACP and Sr. Patricia Schoelles, MA, PhD who will share their valuable expertise and experience in Elder Spirituality.
We also welcome new faith formation initiatives by parishioners Kathy Madrazo and Jim Roman. Likewise, we celebrate the numerous opportunities offered by the “Women in the Spirit” who have prepared a veritable banquet of options for women’s comprehensive wellness.
As you will see, this year’s Adult Formation Booklet is filled with scores of avenues to assist in discovering or deepening your knowledge and experience of our Christian-Catholic faith and spirituality.
As always, you are welcome to any or all of the offerings you find attractive. In keeping with our community’s charism of hospitality, please invite family and friends to attend and grow along with you!
