Confirmation

Confirmation is a celebration of the fullness of initiation into the Church. Candidates for the Sacrament of Confirmation focus their preparation on study, prayer, and service.   Candidates should take an active role in their preparation in the Christian way of life, and should take responsibility for their own continued spiritual development.  Candidates must possess a deep sense of commitment and a sincere desire to image themselves in Christ.

Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation begins in May and culminates each autumn. The majority of candidates prepare for Confirmation in the Spring of Eighth Grade and Celebrate the Fall of their Freshman year.

Please note that sacramental preparation, however, is readiness based.  All families are encouraged to assess their own readiness for the celebration of each sacrament and preparation is not based on children’s grade-level or enrollment in Faith Formation Classes.

A special program has been developed for adult Catholics who have yet to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation.  For more information, please call the parish office at 248-2427

You do not need to be related to a candidate to help! You do not need to be experienced to help!  All you need is an open mind, a willing heart, and a desire to be a part of your parish life.  If you’re interested in helping, please email us at cftransfiguration@yahoo.com or call us at 248-2467.  Thank you so much for all you do!
