The
Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of
Loyola is a valuable process for re-establishing or deepening one’s relationship
with Christ in the format of a thirty-day retreat. Since few of us have the
time or resources to make the full thirty-day retreat, Ignatius appropriated the
Exercises to a thirty-week format.
If
you possess a desire
to deepen your relationship with Christ, can commit an hour to daily prayer with
the Gospels, and are able to meet weekly with a spiritual director here at
Transfiguration, the Holy Spirit may be inviting you to make the
Spiritual Exercises. Throughout the
Exercises, Ignatius invites us to learn
various styles of prayer, and teaches us the precious art of discernment so that
we may come to know Christ more intimately, love Christ more intensely and
follow Christ more closely in our daily living.

Ministry Retreat
" Let the little children alone, and do not stop
them from coming to me; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven
belongs." (Matthew 19:14-15) What does it mean to be a follower of Christ in
the 21st century? Our Day of Reflection on Jan. 11th will focus on the adult
/child in each of us. We will collectively answer the" Question "through the
use of relevant Stories taken from Children's Literature. Please join us as we
reflect and work together!

and self. Join us for a week of
