Introduction of the Third Edition of the Roman Missal
Presenter: Fr. Robert Kennedy
Joan Workmaster and Fr. Kennedy will provide the history of the new translation, the “why and how” we are receiving the new translation as well as some tools to become more familiar with the materials that we will begin to see with implementation.
Joan Workmaster holds an MA in liturgical studies from Notre Dame University and has served in lay ecclesial ministry for many years at volunteer, diocesan and parish levels. She participates in the Federation of Diocesan Liturgical Commissions representing Region 2 (New York State). She is also a member of the Federation of Diocesan Liturgical Committees on Sacraments and Formation on the Roman Missal.
Fr. Robert Kennedy is Pastor of Blessed Sacrament and St. Boniface Churches and an Assisting Priest at St. Mary’s Church in Rochester. He also serves as Chair of the Diocesan Liturgical Commission. Fr. Kennedy holds an M.Div. and has done post graduate work in Sacred Liturgy at Notre Dame University.
