Elder Spirituality Series Fall, 2011

WELL, WISE & WHOLE

7-9:00PM in the PLC Double Room
Session 1—Spirituality 101
Session 2—Preparing for End-Of-Life
Session 3—The Future Of Our Faith

Does your spirituality need a jump start or to be refreshed? Would you like to be better prepared for death? Worried about your chil-dren’s or grandchildren’s spirituality? Come to three sessions that could help you with your quest for spiritual growth and understanding.

You are invited to gather with friends, peers and those interested in exploring these three areas of growing older in faith, hope and trust. We will seek to gain a little more wisdom for the journey and connect our faith and practice of spirituality to some daily topics that drive our sense of being.

Patrick Fox has studied Theology, Adult Learning and Spiritual Geron-tology. He has served parishes in the Diocese of Rochester for forty years in various capacities including Christian Formation and Consult-ing. Patrick holds a PC in Spiritual Gerontology, an MS in Adult Learn-ing and a BS in Theology.

Scripture/Elder Spirituality Series Spring, 2012

AGING THROUGH THE PRISM OF HEBREW SCRIPTURE

Facilitator: Pat Fox
Tuesdays: February 28, March 6,13 & 20, 2012
7-9:00PM PLC Double Room

Welcome to an opportunity to explore Hebrew Scripture as a source for understanding aging. By exploring the way Scripture unfolds, we discover how our own stories unfold. Subsequently, we realize that we are invited to share our stories in light of the grace of the years we have journeyed and as elders, share some of the various insights we have discovered. We’ll read a little, share a little, listen a lot and, hopefully, grow in faith and hope by reflecting on the gift of presence that our age offers us.
