Contribution Envelope Process
Each week our volunteers count and prepare the weekend collection by removing the cash or check from the contribution envelopes and recording the sum on the line indicated “amount” (if not noted by the parishioner). When the counting process is complete, we post the envelopes, by envelope number, to your parish account on the date received.
For individual checks dropped into the basket, our volunteers have to compare the name and address to our records, look up the envelope number and finally prepare a list for the posting process. Obviously, this is time consuming for all of us. Therefore, please, please use your envelopes whenever possible to avoid the unnecessary burden on our volunteers. Also, write-in the contribution amount clearly on the line provided.
Never use tape or staples but be sure
to moisten and seal the envelope flap securely. We sincerely
appreciate your helping to make our volunteer’s time more efficient.
Thank you! |
