The Church of the Transfiguration is a proud supporter of Catholic Family Center (CFC), a regional office of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Rochester. If you would like to know more deeply about the work of CFC, there are several opportunities available:

• CFC cordially invites you to experience their work first hand. Please consider a tour of their facilities and hear stories of how they have touched the lives of so many, especially the poor and vulnerable.
• CFC staff and/or representatives are available to present their programs and services to our parish ministries and councils.
• CFC offers many rewarding opportunities for you to answer the call to serve through volunteering.

Diocesan Missions Sunday

Next weekend, May 17 & 18 we will observe our annual diocesan Missions Sunday. This year marks forty years that we have been supporting the sisters of St. Joseph in Brazil and the Sisters of Mercy in Chile with our prayers and financial gifts.

To this day, these women devote their entire lives in bringing the Gospel to others. They live side by side with people of other cultures to learn their language and customs, and bring the saving word and saving Body of Jesus.  Without  the dedication of these fine women, the Church in the United States would be unable effectively to help bring Christ to the nations.  Please be generous with your prayers and financial gift on next weekend.
