Annual Bake Sale

Catholic Social Teaching and the gospel call us to remember the dignity of the human person and the sacredness of all people.  It also calls us to follow the example of Jesus, who identified himself with the poor and vulnerable. Giving priority concern to the poor and vulnerable strengthens the health of the whole society. The human life and dignity of the poor are most at risk and should have the first claim on our personal and social resources.

The 2008 donations will provide financial assistance for House of Mercy. Sister Grace Miller and her staff provide food, clothing and shelter for the homeless and families in need of assistance with rent, utilities, medical supplies and burial costs. Located on Hudson Ave in one of the poorest neighborhoods in Rochester, the House of Mercy serves daily meals to those who are hungry. Social Ministry at Transfiguration believes that we can make a difference in the daily lives of children and families living in poverty. Please support these efforts by baking or buying for the Bake Sale!
