Building the Faith
As a basic principle of our Catholic faith, we acknowledge God as the source of all we have and all we are. Stewardship challenges each of us to recognize our gifts of time, talent and treasure, to use them wisely and to share them generously. The Catholic Diocesan Ministries Appeal is a good example of the stewardship of treasure. It challenges us to look beyond our own needs and offer a share of our personal blessings with our sisters and brothers. Through the Catholic Diocesan Ministries Appeal, we can show our thanks and joy for the gifts we have received and show our love for God and one another. Simply, we give as an act of thanksgiving and worship. And by doing so, we strengthen our diocesan church and provide assistance to those who need it most. Where does my gift go? Your
gift is pooled with thousands of other generous gifts and dispersed
to many different ministries for specific needs – all with the
mission of building the Kingdom of God.
Your gift helps people in many kinds of
spiritual and physical need, young people and seniors, families and
faith communities, people serving the Church throughout the diocese. The CMA has begun in the Diocese and you are encouraged to use the following campaign prayer in support of the success of this important campaign. By now you should have received a letter from Bishop Clark, a brochure, a pledge card and a return envelope. Please return your completed pledge card promptly so we can arrive at our goal before the Advent season, THANKS!
View the 2011 - 2012 CMA video "Stonger As One" and make your pledge at:
It is my hope that if you have
not pledged yet you will consider doing so. Yes, we are in
economic hard times, but we are blessed here at
Transfiguration . We have not felt the pinch as much as many
other parishes in the Diocese. Making up the shortfall of
other parishes would be a wonderful sign of our commitment
to the “community” of the Diocesan Church.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION AND GENEROUSITY! |
