Charitable giving is each person’s individual choice how they share their financial wealth. Now, in these days of electronic banking and credit cards we have many options how to donate to our charities of choice. Many people still just write a check or may even use good old fashion cash. Obviously, the most important factor is that we generously share our wealth.
I am pleased to announce that Transfiguration parish has signed up for a NEW online giving program called WeShare, and we invite you to join us by giving online if it fits your style of life.
New to online giving? There are benefits to consider for both you and the parish. Donating online is easy, quick, and at the same time keeps the process safe and secure. There are no envelopes to remember, checks to write or loose change to find for the collection basket.
By giving online, you support our ministries on a consistent basis even if you are unable to attend Mass. The best part is that it positively influences the stability of our ministries and outreach programs by allowing us to better plan for the year.
Through WeShare, it is very simple to set up a one-time or recurring donation and eventually to register and pay for special events, like our social gatherings or formation classes. Once you start to use it, you will be able to view your complete, accurate financial records at any time during the year. (This is especially helpful during tax season!)
We invite you to take the time to review the directions on our parish website on how to create your online giving account and to read the frequently asked questions. If you have any questions about WeShare or need assistance setting up your account, do not stress — just give the Parish Office a call, and we will be happy to walk you through it!
Note to all of our parishioners currently giving through EFT - you do not need to take any action, your donations will continue just as they did in the past. Please contact the Parish Office, if you want to make any changes or switch to on-line giving.
Please prayerfully consider donating to our parish community through WeShare. Doing so will be instrumental in helping us bring more families together in our shared mission of spreading the Gospel. Together, let us begin this new journey of stewardship!
These are very stressful financial times for our parish and this is just another way of being assured of our income on a regular basis.
On a very different note, we have the excitement of Vacation Bible School taking place this week. The parish campus comes alive with lots of young parishioners who add so much life to us as a parish. Please keep the young ones and their leaders in your prayers that the week ahead by safe and fruitful.
Thank you for your continued support of our parish.
Let us continue to pray for peace in our world!
In peace and courage,
