Dear Friends,

Happy New Year and continued blessings as we celebrate the Christmas season. I wish to thank the many people who contributed to making our parish Christmas celebrations so meaningful.  Our liturgies were beautifully done and I extend my thanks to all the liturgical ministers who helped make them prayerful experiences.  Two particular highlights the week before Christmas gave me great joy.

First, I want to spotlight the Christmas Basket and Giving Tree programs.  At last count, the parish sponsored a total of 190+ families from throughout community.  It was an awesome sight to see and experience all of Santa’s elves hard at work in the Parish Life Center the week before Christmas wrapping gifts and packing food baskets.  There is no way to measure the generosity of all who participated in the Giving Tree and Christmas Basket programs other than by the joy provided to those we were able to assist.  On their behalf: thank you for your love and concern!

Second, I want to recognize the Liturgical Environment Committees who decorated our worship space.   You did a wonderful job making the place in which we celebrate the Eucharist warm and welcoming.  Thank you to everyone who decorated for the Thanksgiving, Advent and Christmas seasons.  Your hard work and time spent preparing our liturgical spaces are deeply appreciated by the parish community and our guests. Please make sure to take time to relax and enjoy the sights and smells of your Christmas tree and the season!

As we begin this New Year, it is truly a blessing to be ministering, praying and living in your midst.  Thank you for your kind concern and support!

Please continue to have a Merry and Blessed Christmas!

Let us continue to pray for peace in our world!

In peace and courage,
