Dear Friends.

Happy Easter!!

As we enter the final days of Easter I pray that it has been a fruitful time for you having come to an even deeper realization of God’s love for you and your love for our Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

It is that time of year when we need to select new members for Pastoral Council to replace those whose terms are coming to a completion. I thank Gerry Gacioch and Shannon Kozarits for their insights and counsel over the last 6 years, their service to the parish is deeply appreciated. Because they have completed their second 3-year term they can no longer serve on the Pastoral Council.

Therefore, we need to select people to replace them, the details of the selection process are in the article below. Perhaps you may want to nominate yourself or another parishioner, in either case it is important we fill both of these positions with people who have the upmost concern and love for the parish. I depend on the Pastoral Council for advice and wisdom to help keep the parish on the correct track pastorally. The Council takes on significant importance because we need to prepare for a change in leadership at some point in the next few years. We have been blessed not to have any major problems recently, but that is not to imply that the Council fulfilled a vital role in the life of Transfiguration. Please give this nomination process your prayerful and thoughtful consideration. Thanks!

Let us continue to pray for peace in our world!

In peace and courage,
