Dear Friends,

We have arrived at our new Liturgical Year!  ADVENT! MARANATHA! COME LORD JESUS! EMMANUEL!

This is the season as I have mentioned before that resonates so much in my heart, soul and spirituality.  The theme our Parish Staffs have been praying about is “Walk with us, in hope, peace, joy, love and Christ.”

Walking takes on different realms for all of us. Children pick up speed and move quickly among the beauty of their surroundings.  Our own people move quickly with all the demands  and moments they want to experience with family, friends, people at schools and so much more.  Young adults, oh, I am so blessed by their/your presence in our two faith communities. Knowing all the demands placed upon you, I/your parishes are gifted by your presence in our gathering together!

AND, those of us who have been around a bit longer, yes, you and I, my motto is “we are still young, but not as young as we used to be.”

All of us, all of us are blessedly walking forward together, I pray with hope peace, joy love, and indeed our Emmanuel! SO, I pray you’re  joining me in taking sacred time to be part of this sacred time of year!

And, on a side note, I am not sure how many authors belong to our two parishes.  But, Maureen “MO” Piles has just published a beautiful book entitled “Dementia Love” . Mo’s deeply thoughtful and reflective stories have been published in books entitled, “At Least That’s What I Thought”, “Poppy’s Jalopy – Who could I Be”, and “The Dog In Our Dream”.  If you love books that stretch thoughts, hope, love, and life, I  will be honest and say check our author and parishioner out, Maureen “MO” Piles!  (MoPilesAuthor.com, MoPiles@gmail.com).

Ok, it’s Advent, let’s proclaim our lives by exclaiming, “Come, Lord Jesus”!

Blessings to all,

Father Rob
