Dear Friends,

I hope everyone enjoyed their Fourth of July weekend and holiday.

July has many couples celebrating their wedding anniversaries. One couple, Don and Barb Flynn celebrated with fireworks on the day itself, July 4th, with 70 years of marriage! God bless them and all our July couples acknowledging their Sacrament of Marriage! We are so grateful for your witness of this blessed time of your lives!!!

Before you and I know it, we will be celebrating another big anniversary in our lives. On Sunday, August 6th , we will joyfully thank the Lord for the 40th Anniversary of the Church of the Transfiguration.

The day will begin with a reversal of our normal mass schedules. Saint Catherine of Siena will have the 8:45 A.M. Sunday Mass and the Church of the Transfiguration will have the 10:45 A.M. Sunday Mass. Following the 10:45 celebratory anniversary mass, we will continue the joys with a picnic on the church grounds. Everyone from both parishes and folks beyond are welcomed and invited to be with us for this very special occasion.

On the weekends of July 15-16 and July 22-23, tickets will be available at both parishes for the picnic event. You will also be able to buy them in both Parish Offices during regular office hours. I hope everyone can join us and come together to acknowledge the great joys we share with one another.

You may be grateful because my thoughts this week are brief. I had to get this piece in early for the holiday so that publishers were not breathing down upon those individuals responsible for the bulletin.

Enjoy the life and the Lord’s unconditional love for YOU!!!

Blessings,
Father Rob
