Dear Friends,
I have been blessed over the years in my pastoral ministry to work, play, pray and serve alongside some phenomenal individuals.
Some of the pastoral ministers who I have met are those of the Permanent Diaconate. Two outstanding individuals, who are our Deacons, are currently blessing my ministry, vocation and overall life. These men, Eric Bessette and Kevin Carges, I know are respected and loved by yourselves as well. Eric and Kevin have brought their faith, prayerfulness and spirituality before us with great passion, generosity and love. I am so grateful to know them and have them serve in the vineyard beside me daily.
As you know, Kevin shared with us this past weekend he will be stepping aside the next six months due to health reasons. We will miss him (though, he did say he would be around when he is able! Amen!) and now is the time for us to rally around Kevin with our prayers and support for his health and well-being.
Saint Catherine of Siena and the Church of the Transfiguration are beacons of powerful prayer. Please join me in that powerful prayer for our brother.
As the familiar saying goes, “God is good. All the time.” We know and believe that. Kevin knows and believes that. And God will continue, unconditionally to be good, loving and present to Kevin!
