Lord, how good it is for us to be here -- Matthew 17

Dear Friends,

This weekend and Monday and Tuesday will be the end of our “Ordinary Time” for a while.

On Wednesday, March 5th, we will begin the season of Lent.  This day, our Ash Wednesday leads us through forty days of prayer, fasting and almsgiving all in preparation to celebrate the Paschal Mysteries  of our beloved Lord.

The theme we will focus on this year comes from Pope Francis. He has declared 2025 as a Jubilee Year with the theme  “Pilgrims of Hope.”  Taking his guidance, this chosen theme invites our prayer and reflection to help restore hope and trust, and encourage a sense of universal fraternity, care for the environment and contemplation of creation.

Many opportunities, along with our daily and weekend masses, have been published in our bulletin, website, and weekly emails.  By now you should have received in the mail a program listing the Lenten and Easter dates, times, and location of the offerings before all of us for an inspiring Lent/Easter.

Please keep this mailing so you may participate in as many prayerful moments as possible for yourself, family and, yes, friends. Please invite someone you think might enjoy being among our faithful and prayerful  communities.

As “Pilgrims of Hope” let us bear our cross and follow the example of Jesus as He made His way towards Calvary.

With my prayer and blessings,

Father Rob
