Dear Friends,

Our Catholic Ministries Appeal was introduced to us in the fall with the theme “Go Forth with Christ.”

Many of you have taken this theme to heart in your response to enable us to go forth with Christ supporting our Diocesan and parish ministries and needs.

Saint Catherine of Siena can acknowledge 222 Donors who stepped up in supporting this years CMA. The Church of the Transfiguration acknowledges 297 Donors who stepped up in supporting the CMA.

I am so very happy to share with our parishes, that the generous stewardship of these 519 Donors has made it possible that both Saint Catherine of Siena and the Church of the Transfiguration have met their goals!!! This is a great blessing upon our faith communities and Diocese.

To each of our Donors I cannot say enough about your appreciated presence in supporting the CMA. You are the ones who make our parishes thrive and succeed in carrying out the mission of the Church. You are the ones, by your donations, who enable our parishes to remain healthy. You are the ones, by your prayerful commitment, who enable us to “Go Forth with Christ” in a blessed future.

I am honored to be the Pastor of two such wonderful parishes!

Thank you! Thank you for your goodness!  May the Lord gift each and every one of you with His love and blessing!

Last weekend we welcomed back our beloved missionaries who traveled to El Salvador representing Global Solidarity.  I have heard from many of them what a special blessing it was to be able to visit our sisters and brothers in El Salvador.  The generous donations of our parishioners and the labors of these Transfiguration Missionaries have been well received and appreciated by the recipients.

This is a profound witness of stewardship’s invitation of sharing Time, Talent and Treasure. It is also a gift from our Lenten journey to bring our prayer and almsgiving to those not as blessed/fortunate as ourselves.

Thank you everyone who participated in this spiritual journey. You are faithful and beloved disciples!

So, on this third Sunday of Lent we can find “joys” in our lives as I have mentioned above.

May another joy be in our lives, as we seek Jesus these Lenten days, to better prepare our hearts and souls in anticipation of Easter!

With much gratitude for you and blessings,

Father Rob
