Lord, how good it is for us to be here -- Matthew 17

Dear Friends,
Alleluias continue this Third Sunday of Easter!
We are invited like Peter and the other Disciples to “feed” the sheep!
As faithful sisters and brothers of Jesus we are called to share our personal stories of meeting Christ. Telling and acknowledging what we have received from the Lord nourishes others to know Him. The joy of Easter grows and grows by our witness. What stories will you share this week as you “feed” His sheep?
The month of May marks our final days to achieve our Catholic Ministries Appeal responsibility.
There are two separate goals for each parish. Saint Catherine of Siena has a goal of $122,979. As of this message, 250 Donors have pledged $106,346. This leaves the parish needing $16,633 to fulfill its goal.
The Church of the Transfiguration has a goal of $205,642. 355 Donors have pledged $184,115. The remaining amount of $21,527 is still needed to fulfill its goal.
For both parishes, whatever is not pledged will have to come out of our parish savings.
I am asking anyone who has not made a pledge towards the CMA to prayerfully consider one. Please help support your parish and those Donors who have already made their pledge. I am very grateful for all who have participated so far. Your stewardship is acknowledged and you are in my heartfelt prayer.
Last weekend we introduced our invitation to all parishioners to be part of our new Parish Directory! This special book will have two separate directories bound in one edition to share with everyone. I always have appreciated parish directories. They are valuable in identifying and getting to know one another. The hard work of Carol Finucane and Karen Zielinski is greatly appreciated. I hope everyone from our two parishes will sign up and participate. Your presence to this project will enable us to share the spirit, vitality and lived faith of Saint Catherine of Siena and the Church of the Transfiguration. Check out the bulletin or parish websites for more details and how to register for your photo!
May is just beginning but with the approach of June, Parish Council Representatives from each church will complete their terms. We are seeking nominations for each parish. Please consider yourself or nominate someone you believe will serve the parishes well. Details are in the bulletin and are up on the parish websites. We have two very good councils presently and I am confident they will continue in the future.
May the week unfold with the blessings of spring and wonderful stories of how we celebrate and know our Risen Lord!
With faith and prayer,
Father Rob
