Dear Friends,

First, I want to share some additional information regarding a leadership change within our parishes as we embark on an exciting phase of growth and revival.

As our environment changes and the needs of our parishes evolve, communications have become increasingly vital. We want to keep everyone informed and reach our parishioners of all ages using appropriate means. After careful consideration of our parishes’ needs and her talents, Victoria Wejko was named the Director of Communications and Evangelization this summer. The energy and enthusiasm she shows in this role is amazing! Her experience with our communication efforts during Covid and beyond, her deep commitment to our faith, and her passion for spreading the message of the Gospel are key aspects she brings to address the needs we face to grow and change.

Change is never easy; we naturally are attached to the way things have been in the past and we understand that there may be some growing pains associated with this transition. We ask for your understanding and support as we work with Vicky to streamline our processes, explore new technologies and keep you up to date on parish and diocesan activities.

In the coming weeks and months, there will be opportunities for you to get to understand the plans for our communication and evangelization efforts in greater detail. We encourage you to embrace the new paths forward with an open heart and mind as we continue to work together to spread the love and teachings of our faith.

Thank you for your unwavering commitment to our parishes and for your support for Vicky and her communications team in their new roles. Together, we can look forward to a future filled with renewed spiritual growth and community vibrancy. We will grow even stronger as a parish family.

Second, I want to share again how the Diocese puts the Catholic Ministries Appeal funds to excellent use.

With faith and blessing,
Father Rob

When you give to the Catholic Ministries Appeal your gift is joined with thousands of others to enable our diocesan community of faith to:

  • Support ministries that reach out with the hands and heart of Christ to the aged, the sick, and the imprisoned
  • Ensure we can help struggling families find their way through economic crisis and back to stability
  • Help fund the crucial work of Catholic Charities, which serves more than 250,000 people annually
  • Fund ministries that nurture children and teenagers in the Catholic faith and teaches values they'll carry into adulthood.
  • Help pay for the education of our seminarians on the road to priestly ordination
  • Prepare engaged couples for God-centered marriages rooted in the Catholic Church
  • Educate and prepare those who wish to become Catholic for the fullness of life in the Church through RCIA
  • Enable us to promote Catholic values about the sanctity of all life and make our voice heard in society
  • Fund programs that give young adults on college campuses a connection to the Church.
  • Provide important services to your parish that it would find difficult to afford on its own

All monies raised in the CMA are only used for the programs, services and ministries for which they are designated. No gifts to the CMA are used to satisfy settlement costs associated with abuse.
