Dear Friends,

The restaurant Mendon 64 offers besides wonderful food the opportunity for artists to display their work throughout the dining room and bar. Each month a different artist is featured with a casual opening.

Another opportunity Mendon 64 offers is for authors to have a book signing and time for conversation about their book(s) or other items of interest. I am happy to share that on Thursday, October 13th, from 5 7PM, Sister Barbara Moore will be the guest author featured. As many of you know Sister Barbara has been a valuable voice in the Greater Rochester Community, the Diocese of Rochester and Ecumenical Community as a member of the Institute of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. Sister Barbara has published three books. They are entitled Preaching the Advent Season”, “Preaching the New Testament ...rediscovering its named and unnamed women!and Preaching the Scriptures Through the Lens of Aged Wisdom”. All three books, just like Sister Barbara herself, are pearls to behold and reflect upon. The books will be available for you to view and purchase. Generously, Sister Barbara is only asking for a freewill offering for them. If you already know Sister Barbara I am sure she would love to see you and have you join her for the book signing. If you havent had the chance to meet her as of yet, why not stop by Mendon 64 and begin a relationship you will definitely appreciate.

Our Eucharistic Revival Series has had two wonderful presentations by Leslie Barkin and Don Smith both of whom work for the Diocese of Rochester. The third presentation will be on Wednesday October 19th at 7 PM in the church of Saint Catherine of Siena. Mark Capellazzi who also works for the Diocese will be our guest speaker. His topic is Devotion to the Eucharist. We hope you can join us in welcoming Mark.

I have received my letter for this years Catholic Ministries  Appeal. The theme is I AM ALWAYS WITH YOU”. Being grateful to the Lord in my life and for the presence of Himself in our faith communities and diocese I have made my pledge. I pray that your discerning this years appeal will have you join me in making a pledge. Every gift is appreciated and enables us to support the valuable ministries of our diocese and our churches. If you havent received a letter from Bishop Matano and myself, please contact me and I can tell you about the Catholic Ministries Appeal.

God Bless You,
Father Rob
