  • Food Drive - Eastern Service Workers

Saturday Mar 4, 2023 All day

Eastern Service Workers Association (ESWA) is
an all-volunteer, membership association built by
and for service workers and others unrecognized by
national labor laws who work but don’t receive a
living wage. Sadly, 93% of children in the city of
Rochester live in families whose income falls below
the poverty line. Food donations through ESWA
make it possible for low-income parents to supplement their families with groceries and not having to
choose between those and other household essentials
    such as rent and utilities.
Food items needed: tuna fish, canned vegetables,
soups, coffee, sugar, peanut butter, pasta, pasta
sauce, ramen noodles soup, and paper products.
Drop off food and donations the first weekend of the
month. Thank you for your continued generosity.

    Monday Mar 27, 2023 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM

    Church of the Transfiguration
    & St. Catherine of Siena
"The Slow, Brave Work of Forgiveness”
Mon., Mar 27th—9:30AM & 7:00 PM at Transfiguration
Tues., Mar 28th—9:30 AM & 7:00 PM at St. Catherine’s
Both will be offered via LiveStream by the hosting parish.

Presented by Janet Corso  Janet Corso, a spiritual director and  retreat & program presenter from the  Hudson Valley.
True forgiveness does not come easily because it always involves betrayal that must be acknowledged. It is usually a long, slow and spiraling process that involves suffering and taps into the full range of our emotions and often our original wounds. The courageous journey ultimately brings us face to face with the depth of our trust in a truly compassionate and personally merciful God. Not to attempt forgiveness, which Indira Gandhi has called, ” … a virtue of the brave,” is to deny ourselves an enormous spiritual opportunity for grace, healing, and ultimately the freedom for new life.
